Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

  • Repair and maintain all facilities structures and systems throughout the hotel to include but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, carpentry, paint, and wall covering.
  • Perform preventative, routine, and urgent maintenance functions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, facilities, and systems.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of the room: touch-up paint, door repairs, change lightbulbs, fix drapes, change filters, etc.
  • Complete work orders, preventive maintenance, and daily projects assigned by engineering management throughout the shift.
  • Repair or caulk bathroom fixtures and execute general plumbing as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel: interior and exterior.
  • Maintain accurate records for work orders and preventive maintenance safety, repair/replace of major equipment, inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Reprogram phones, televisions, and safes.
  • Repair furniture and fixtures, as necessary.
  • Use power and hand tools to repair equipment.
  • Climb ladders, scaffolding to complete tasks.
  • Move or lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Follow OSHA regulations.
  • Complies with required safety regulations.
  • Greets guests and anticipates and satisfies guest requests.
  • Adheres to hotel service standards.
  • Notifies appropriate dept any escalated problems.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of general building maintenance skills (preferred).
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and machinery.
  • Capable of learning quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable work ethic with a positive attitude.
  • Team player.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
