Residence Inn Valet (Full Time - Year Round with Excellent Company Benefits)

The Residence Inn Valet is responsible for assisting guests with luggage during the arrival and departure process. They will also drive, park and retrieve guest/visitor vehicles as they arrive and depart from the hotel, courteously, safely and efficiently according to the hotel's standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:

• Valid (state) drivers license with no more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.
• Must successfully pass a DMV Check, Criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Test.
• Must have good understanding of the English language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

Desirable:

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Experience in hospitality industry in similar position.
• Knowledge of the local area.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

• Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
• Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Reach overhead
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8-hours in length.
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
• Work environment - Hotel lobby and entrance areas, all guest areas. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings, and around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, and chemicals.

Candidates that have had their driver’s license suspended within the past year are not eligible for hire in the role of Valet.
