Performs duties to include proper cleaning that meets state requirements, regulatory agency requirements, facility regulatory requirements, RHS Infection Control standards, and Environmental Services policies and procedures. Ensures a neat, clean and safe work environment is maintained. Ensures adequate supplies for cleaning and assists team members with moving equipment, cleaning and beds. Performs all other duties as assigned.

What you will do
- Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors consistently. Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/patients by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience.
- Demonstrates respect, concern and empathy for the diverse needs of patients, customers and co-workers.
- Restocks supplies and cleans carts daily in order to maintain a smooth flow of operations. Areas of responsibility are stocked with paper goods, soaps, chemicals and reusable goods as applicable. Demonstrates the ability to terminally clean and keep the assigned area clean in accordance with RHS policies.
- Maintains a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, State and regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff. Follows guidelines for proper body mechanics, hazardous materials handling and universal precautions to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintains a safe work area.
- Responsible for assuring safe practices as referenced in the National Patient Safety Goals and in accordance with RHS policies and procedures. Performs all cleaning duties in a timely, safe, and thorough manner in compliance with Infection Control Standards. This includes dusting, cleaning, sanitizing, trash removal, and other services as needed. Areas are cleaned according to schedule and in accordance with departmental policies.
- Ensures assignments completed in a timely manner ensuring quality/infection control measures are met consistently. Ensures assigned areas are cleaned and continuously monitored to maintain highest quality of order/cleanliness in accordance with departmental policies/procedures and schedules.
Qualifications
Education
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience
- 1-3 years Prior housekeeping/environmental services experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
Hours
- Hours: Labor Pool hours between 7:00 am-7:00 pm
