This state-of-the-art facility has hosted a diverse roster of sporting events and tournaments since it opened in November 2020. The venue is located across the street from the Virginia Beach Convention Center and just steps away from local shops, restaurants and attractions, including the beautiful boardwalk and beaches of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
The Virginia Beach Sports Center (VBSC) boasts 285,000 square feet of custom-configurable space, including 9 Field Hockey courts, 12 basketball courts, 24 volleyball courts, a 200 meter, hydraulically banked track, 64 wrestling mats, and seating for 5,000 spectators. Additionally, VBSC provides 5 meeting rooms and a 400-seat kitchen/concessions area.
The Virginia Beach Sports Center is managed by Eastern Sports Management (ESM) based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. ESM’s management portfolio consists of venues in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

Supervise and lead the housekeeping department
Manage the housekeeping department budget
Ensure the cleanliness of the building and surrounding grounds
Develop and manage housekeeping processes and schedules in coordination with a variety of other departments both within the property and with the City of Virginia Beach.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure standards of cleanliness are maintained
Provide housekeeping staff with materials and training to successfully perform their job

Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members

Knowledge of scheduling and productivity

Proven ability to lead and develop staff

Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary (required)

Ability to analyze and interpret data related to the housekeeping department (e.g. wages, cost of materials, service life/scrap-out, waste, etc.)

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in commercial housekeeping

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Math Skills: High school math level is required

Language Skills: Read, write, and speak English fluently (required); ability to communicate in other languages is preferred

Computer Skills: Use of a windows-based standard workstation (desktop or laptop) and job-related software is required. Experience with Google suite and UKG WorkforceReady is preferred.
