Position Description: CCM is seeking an enthusiastic and team oriented HR Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, will be based out of our downtown Sacramento, CA office and may be required to travel offsite to other locations within the Sacramento Region. At least 6 months of human resources experience preferred but not required. Ideal candidates must have a HR mindset, strong communication, organizational, interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible.

SUMMARY: The HR Assistant will report to the Finance & Accounting Systems Lead and will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the companys HR Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists with various administrative tasks dependent on workflow and needs of the HR Department.
Upholds the integrity and confidentiality of all HR matters.
Maintains and periodically audits employee personnel and medical files to ensure all information is current, compliant and accurate.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Acts as a liaison between the company and HR Consultant.
Coordinates with external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health insurance and retirement plan providers.
Supports the HR Team with benefits programs, administration and open enrollment.
Assists with processing of terminations, job changes, and related personnel administration
Completes verifications of employment, unemployment claims and mails/files wage garnishments.
Accurately performs data entry of new hires, terminations, and other associated personnel actions and ensure all data is entered by appropriate deadline and contains appropriate approvals.
Performs recruiting functions such as: preparing job descriptions, posting jobs on internet and external sites, screening resumes to determine best candidates for the positions, and coordinating interviews. Performs reference and background checks.
Prepares, coordinates and conducts new hire orientations.
Coordinates and assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
Assists with the coordination and preparation of exit meetings.
Assists the Finance & Accounting Systems Lead and HR Consultant with the tracking and administration of all leaves in accordance with company policies and applicable law.
Assists the Finance & Accounting Systems Lead with all OSHA, Cal-OSHA and Safety Compliance policies, trainings and initiatives for the company.
Aids with collecting DFEH and EEO data and submitting annual reports.
Checks voicemail and communicate messages to Finance & Accounting Systems Lead, HR Consultant and other staff as needed.
Collaborates and supports the Finance & Accounting Systems Lead with various projects.
May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
Ability to interact and collaborate seamlessly with all levels of the organization.
Manages deadlines and manages time effectively.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Ability to get along and work effectively with others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and has strong computer skills in MS Office software.
