Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking a Human Resource (HR) Functional Analyst (Staff Associate) to assist our US Navy client. The job is on-site at the Pentagon, VA providing support for NAVY Top Brass/Executive level leadership.

Mandatory Requirement: Applicants must have an active Interim Secret DoD clearance at a minimum, with final Secret preferred.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • HR – work independently to prepare packages for personnel actions and prepare documents for pay pool administration and performance action status tracking. Packages will go to gov t for review and approval.
  • Human Resource Attributes:
    • Experience with HR for the Federal civilian workforce.
    • Familiarity with OPM guidelines for establishing positions, determining proper descriptions for PDs, pay grade levels, staffing plans.
    • Assess civilian work job series and perform position analyses.
    • Review position descriptions, be able to talk to supervisors to flesh out duties of positions, understand the requirements of jobs, ensure ASN (RD&A) is describing positions correctly.
  • Records Management – assist the team in developing records management processes and execution including preparing and submitting records for archiving to the National Archives. Familiarity with Navy records management process is required. Records will be reviewed, and final disposition determined/approved by government staff.
  • Tasks management process support – help in the execution of distribution and monitoring tasks in the TMT system. Analyst will need to help create reports and track tasks routing, completion, and dissemination.
  • Editing and formatting the newsletter is required.

Success for working in this position requires:

  • Experience and be proficiency with Microsoft Office graphics and office automation tools (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and produce error free documents.
  • Experience and knowledge in proofreading and editing documents that are highly technical in nature which were created by others to ensure proper format, grammar, and style.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and telephone skills, and the ability to work with others at all levels as a team member.
  • Strong problem solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments.
  • Excellent organizational skills: prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, handle complex assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
