Position Summary*

Reporting to the Chief Talent Officer (HR / OTAR), the HR Recruitment Specialist’s primary responsibility is recruitment, retention, onboarding and placement, employee relations, policy interpretation/distribution and compensation. The HR Recruitment Specialist’s supports and assist all human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation and leave disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; with CTO and department, the Recruitment Specialist’s will also assist to plan, lead, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, of the Office of Talent and Recruitment (OTAR) Department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.

Recruits, interviews, hires, and supports HR departmental staff

  • Supports the daily workflow of the department
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Develops and implements an organization wide structured recruitment, hiring, onboarding, termination, off boarding process

Talent Management*

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management
  • Lead workforce planning initiative during organizational redesigns including facility closings, department or site consolidations, growth, and acquisitions
  • Develop approach to performance management, increasing emphasis on people development, leadership skills and appreciation of diversity

Compensation

  • Spearhead the design and implementation of compensation analysis tools resulting in streamlined assessment and employment compensation processes

Compliance*

  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management

Education and Experience*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
