Human Resources Assistant Job at Valhalla Medics
Valhalla Medics is top-rated onsite medical group and medical staffing agency. We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team! You will perform activities in human resources from recruiting new hires to retaining existing hires.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with recruitment and hiring efforts
- Assisting with recruitment and interview process; tracks status of candidates and responds with follow-up at the end of the recruiting process
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested
- Maintaining personnel records in compliance with NYS and federal regulations
- Drafting formal correspondence and documentation including offer letters and termination letters
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
- Bi-weekly payroll administration for full time employees and contractor
- Prepares new-employee files and ensures all required forms are included
- Assisting with the preparation of the performance review process
- Assisting with processing of terminations
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or other related fields
- Familiarity with payroll software Zenefits and ADP (preferred not required)
- Bachelors Degree (preferred not required)
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Ability to build rapport with all employees
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
