SUMMARY

The Corporate Human Resources Associate Generalist aids with and facilitates the Corporate Human Resources processes for all business locations. This role reports directly to the Senior HR Generalist and Organizational Director of Human Resources and provides internal support to all staff members of the Corporate Human Resources Department.

RESONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee Experience:
    • Performs customer service functions by triaging internal and external HR related inquiries and provides applicable assistance via Corporate HR internal phone line and ticket system.
    • Re-direct internal and external HR related inquiries to appropriate Corporate HR team member or Company department.
    • Assists HR department with administrative tasks for all Employee Experience functions including onboarding administration, termination requests, performance reviews, progressive discipline, etc.
  • Unemployment Administration:
    • Prepare and submit initial unemployment claims and wage audits in a timely manner through ADP Case Builder.
  • Employment Verifications:
    • Process all employment verifications including written and verbal in a timely fashion.
  • Employee & Labor Relations:
    • Provide support for internal employee relations investigations including preparing initial claim interviews, conducting research, and assist Corporate HR Department in completing investigation overview and exhibits.
    • Assist with grievances and labor disputes as necessary.
    • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Human Resources Administration:
    • Maintain electronic employee files for all non-executive and Corporate employee files and performs other clerical maintenance functions including HRIS data entry.
    • Act as liaison between third-party data administration vendor (Metriqe) and hiring managers and intervene when issues arise.
    • Ensure all locations meets state and local DOL employment and labor law poster and notice requirements.
    • Oversee, review, and redistribute internal HR fax and incoming mail.
    • Assist with federal, state, and local regulatory compliance items (ex. California Sexual Harassment Training) as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General knowledge of basic principles and terminology related to human resources functions.
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite and related business and communication tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment regulations.
  • Effective administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to HR and payroll functions and practices.
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years related experience, including internship or undergraduate work, preferred.
