Grade:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To provide support to Prospira Teammates which enable them to engage and enjoy Prospira America Company as their employer of choice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountability for strategies and monitoring of turnover, absenteeism, retention, and similar including KPI and metric development. Including new hire surveys and exit surveys of all team members. Focus on adjusting HR strategy and support based on feedback.
  • Review resignations, evaluate job specifications and monitor all attendance records.
  • Tasked with internal investigations of incidents and concerns.
  • Development and support of ongoing performance evaluation program for salaried and hourly personnel.
  • Support in activities such as unemployment claims, workers compensations, FMLA, STD, benefits, and similar as needed.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Maintain and monitor staffing levels in temporary, hourly and salaried position and their responsibility.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of employee documents including but not limited to employee handbooks.
  • Participate in plant meetings to help understand the needs of the business, provide strategic HR support where needed.
  • Change agent with ability to assess current situation and anticipate challenges. Foster positive employee relations. Lead and influence a positive employee culture.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, practices, and initiatives in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Responsible for analysis and identification of issues/opportunities relating to the Human Resources budget.
  • Other special projects or duties as required to assist the HR department

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree preferably in human resources
  • At least five years of experience within human resources
  • Advanced knowledge of employment law
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS / Payroll systems
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Ability to type with high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Sedentary 90% of the day.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

PREFERRED:

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
  • 5+ years of plant HR experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
