Ideal position for the HR professional who enjoys diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Located in our 150-employee plating division in Toano Virginia, you will work closely with managers, employees and provide administrative support to the Corporate Human Resources team as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 1-2 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Working knowledge of Virginia and Federal employment regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recruiting/Retention-Works with managers to determine hiring needs, schedule interviews and attend job fairs. Tracks metrics to determine variables contributing to turnover.
• Hiring/Onboarding-Performs all new hire orientations, forwards all new hire paperwork to Corporate Human Resources and tracks referral bonuses.
• Payroll-Coordinates with managers to process weekly payroll in a timely manner.
• Benefits-Distributes eligibility packets to eligible employees, coordinates open enrollment events with HR Director and benefits representative & maintains spreadsheets for safety items.
• Workers Compensation-Calls in claims to insurance carriers regarding work relates illnesses or Injuries reported by managers.
• Employee Relations- Works closely with HR director on specific employee relation issues. Assists in monthly/quarterly team and morale building initiatives.
