Location: Corporate – Pittsburgh, PA

Montauk Renewables is a fully integrated renewable energy company specializing in the management, recovery, and conversion of landfill methane into renewable electric power and renewable natural gas. Montauk's corporate offices are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with regional offices in Houston, Texas and Irvine, California.

SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the human resource and benefit administration functions at Montauk Energy. This is a Full-Time position reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and administers human resources policies and procedures for all Company personnel
  • Evaluates, selects, and administers employee benefits programs such as retirement plans, dental plans, life insurance plans, hospitalization, additional death & dismemberment policies, and long-term disability policies
  • Manages the Company's Human Resource Information System software platform
  • Maintains human resources records
  • Supervises new employee enrollment, applications, and claims records for all benefit plans
  • Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management
  • Interprets appropriate laws and policies and advises management, employees, and retirees accordingly
  • Develops and monitors performance appraisal programs
  • Directs the hiring practices of the Company, including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, promotions, and relocations
  • As directed, participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations problems; anticipates problems whenever possible and develops, recommends, and initiates appropriate steps for resolution
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a human resource function
  • PHR or SPHR designation preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
  • Strong verbal, written, computer communication, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment
