PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Human Resources Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office. The HR Manager manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.

WORKING PROCEDURES: JOB FUNCTIONS ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

· Recruiting and staffing logistics

· Organizational development & training

· Performance Management and Improvement Systems

· Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting

· Policy and Procedure development and documentation

· Employee & Labor Relations

· Compensation and benefits administration

SCOPE, PURPOSE AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS: The scope of the HR Manager is much larger in a small business, where the position is a part of the Executive Staff. The HR Manager is a main contributor in the Investment Committee and Safety Committee.

DIRECTION OF OTHERS: Reports directly to CEO/CFO. Provides Management direction. Supervises HR/Executive Coordinator.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree at minimum in Human Resources or Business Administration; master's degree for top-level positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have 5+ years progressive experience in Human Resources. Prior collective bargaining experience preferred. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing human resources activities. Enthusiastic, self-directed, detail-oriented, well organized individual with ability to multi-task. Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information. Proficient in MS Office applications. Must speak fluent English and be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, hear, and stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; walk up steps. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
