Job Description:
We are excited to find a full time Account Engineer, which is a critical role to further take our employee- owned company to new heights and reports to a Sr. National Accounts Manager. As a small-medium sized business in the emerging energy efficiency space, we partner with some of the largest retailers, restaurants, and grocers in the world to ensure high quality and energy-efficient buildings!

This position is within the Melink Services business unit that has experienced tremendous growth – but we are just getting started as there is still incredible opportunity for further growth. The ideal candidate works well in a highly collaborative environment and takes on a no-task-too small mentality. This role is preferred to be located in greater Cincinnati, but willing to consider a remote placement for the right candidate. Join us as we endeavor to change the world, one building at a time!

Primary Focus and Responsibilities – How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Provide technical support to various key departments and roles: o A technical liaison to National Accounts, Customer Service, and Sales personnel o Customer specific technical support to field service technicians, customer service team, and quality department o Guidance to product development support to in-house product development teams who are leading the development of next generation tools and products
  • Manage projects by preparing technical documents and procedures for technicians and customer service team to successfully deliver on customer expectations
  • Ensure project, process, scope-of-work, procedures, reports, and other information is available to all necessary personnel to maximize Melink’s productivity and success on each project and or within each program
  • Provide daily support and issue resolution to customers, contractors, and technicians
  • Review design plans and project specifications to create proposals and procedures to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations
  • Identify potential and resolve existing project issues quickly and thoroughly
  • High level of comfort handling incoming and outgoing email and phone calls
  • Research and make recommendations for potential service enhancements or modifications to meet the ever-changing needs of the customer base
  • Any other job duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent experience in related field required
  • At least 5 years of account management, technical support, engineering design, and or relevant technical customer service experience in the commercial construction, HVAC, facilities management, or MEP design industries preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), NEBB CT (or equivalent), LEED
  • AP, BCXP, Six Sigma Blackbelt or other adjacent certifications desired

  • Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems, SAP Business One preferred
  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude, familiarity with HVAC systems, and experience with reading mechanical drawings required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers required
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures required
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of self-accountability required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
