The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Global Transportation Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Manage Vyaire’s domestic carrier fleet. Establish service level expectations, damage reduction goals and conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to supervise performance.
- Manage inbound and outbound intercontinental flows for Vyaire’s intercompany shipments. Responsible for ocean and heavy air carriers for related shipments.
- Provide operational transparency of critical shipments.
- Provide proactive business updates to key internal collaborators on carrier performance and global market volatility.
- Working with Indirect Procurement, develop annual sourcing bids to meet financial objectives.
- Ensure consistent supplier management to resolve issues quickly, improve operational performance and deliver a joint continuous improvement agenda.
- Build and publish appropriate supply chain metrics to monitor and improve performance.
- Manage projects related to transportation topics in alignment with Vyaire’s supply chain initiatives.
- Manage the payment and post-audit of freight invoices. Develop programs to reduce controllable accessorial costs.
- Manage the freight claims process and effectively secure reimbursement for damages caused by freight carriers.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for Vyaire locations in regards to US domestic and international transportation regulations.
- Work on assigned projects to meet overall objectives of the Vyaire global supply chain.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Vyaire is looking for candidates who have the following required qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience managing global and domestic transportation operations.
- 3 + years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Must have expert knowledge of US Department of Transportation, IATA, CBP programs, global trade and international customs regulations.
- Must have supplier/carrier management experience.
- Experience of multi-modal freight procurement (domestic road, ocean, and air.)
- Must have first-hand experience implementing supply chain rules and controls.
- Must have a background in freight pay and customs brokerage services.
- Knowledge in matters regarding transportation law and litigation avoidance.
- Must have strong leadership skills and a record of cost management and network optimization.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- BS in supply chain, business, international business, or related field.
- Extensive data analysis skills, including the ability to work independently.
- Strong project and people leadership skills.
- Dynamic, quick thinking & groundbreaking.
- Strong verbal/presentation and written communication skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to influence and interact with persons at all levels; comfortable working in coordination with other functions and indirectly leading team members in a matrixed environment.

Base range in CA for the Global Transportation Manager position is $88,000 - $132,000. Additional benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, paid leaves, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays and potential for tuition reimbursement.
