JOB SUMMARY

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Hygienist and Doctors with procedures and charting as necessary
• Review Hygienists schedule and help maintain patient flow throughout the day
• Review patient chart prior to Hygienist’s arrival and anticipate the hygienist’s needs for each patient
• Set-up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines
• Monitor hygiene schedules and help to fill cancellations internally and through recall
• Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain Hygienist's schedule and patient flow
• Provide excellent customer service to help ensure a smooth and comfortable visit for the patient
• Take down and clean patient room after treatment
• Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
• Ensure treatment areas are fully stocked
• Other duties may be assigned

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carryout infection control protocol- preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Enthusiastic communication with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies as directed by Office Manager)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have basic computer skills with ability to learn new programs if necessary
• High School Diploma or GED required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be open to new ideas or change
• Ability to work independently or in teams
• Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive chairside care
• Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a
  clean and safe working environment
• Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• General Office Activities as Required
• Good manual dexterity
• Bend or twist their body
• Sit/Stand for long periods of time
