Summary: The IFS Systems Architect is responsible for overseeing the overall architecture, design, and implementation of an IFS ERP implementation focused on the Americas region and the construction value stream. The role will collaborate with other architects focused on other regions and/or business lines. The role will require a combination of business analysis, architecture, data, and IFS implementation, aligning those skills with the construction industry, technology, and market trends. The Solution Architect will work closely with business end users, IT, software developers, project teams, and external suppliers, providing guidance throughout the project life cycle with a focus on analysis, design, and implementation. This role will initially be focused on an IFS implementation, with long-term operational oversight of the architecture of the ERP platform in the future.

Requirements:

Architecture, Solution Design & Implementation

  • Leading the implementation of IFS systems in the Americas, including configuring the software, integrating the other systems, and testing the solutions
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, project managers, and other IT professionals across the RES organization to ensure the successful delivery of IFS-based solutions
  • Conducts data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements, providing input from a business and IT perspective
  • Develop and contribute to architecture artifacts and documentation such as functional and non-functional requirements, systems landscape, capability maps, integration diagrams, and data flows
  • Provide project team guidance on IFS best practices and standards
  • Collaboratively designs solution architectures that incorporate a wide range of systems, including Cloud and on-premises applications, business analytics, integration, collaboration, project management, and ERP; focusing on where best to deploy capabilities
  • Understand business requirements, identify, and recommend technical solutions
  • Design solutions that align with the business, and IT strategies including documented cloud and API strategies, ensuring fit for purpose and wide adoption implementations that support the strategies
  • Contribute to standards to guide architecture solution decisions for services and cloud solutions
  • Understand and contribute to data integration and management best practices including collaborating with and driving effective data acquisition, modeling, presentation, and master data management
  • Contribute to, create, and review high-quality artifacts to build the RES architecture repository (including standards, principles, models, and designs)
  • Contribute to and oversee the definition, design, and development of application integrations that impact the ERP
  • Contribute to governance and implementation of architectural standards
  • Participates in the development of user test cases, and system integration testing and validates test results during testing
  • Ensures test strategies involve appropriate integration and process components
  • Provide assistance to testers and supports personnel as needed to determine system problems
  • Present, support, and lead by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related study or equivalent related experience (two years experience is equivalent to one year of education)required
  • 5+ years of experience with business analysis, software development, and architecture required
  • 5+ years of experience designing/implementing IFS applications required
  • Knowledge of object-oriented development principles and methodologies such as SDLCs and SaaS models
  • Problem-solving skills: able to identify potential issues & risks before they arise related to managing renewables projects
  • Ability to travel 15-30%

Anticipated base salary range: $112,200 - $132,000

The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
