Duties and Responsibilities:
As a full-time caregiver, you play a crucial role in the well-being and happiness of your clients. You strive to preserve dignity and enhance the quality of life of your clients who face a decrease in independence. You look to be ever present and comforting during their time of need and you remain compassionate and friendly during stressful times.
The essential duties and responsibilities of a caregiver include:
- Assist clients with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Encourage socialization and participation in activities
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Assist with transfer and mobility
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience
- Home Care Aide (HCA) registration
- Fully immunized against COVID-19 (unless exempt)
- TB test or chest x-ray with no abnormalities in the past 24 months
- Able to meet the physical requirements of personal care
