In School - Support Staff/Paraeducator

All Pointe Care, LLC offers a wide range of programs and services to adults and children with varying levels of disabilities, mental health diagnosis and behavioral challenges. Our In-School–Support Staff assist students with their educational needs as either a one-to-one or a small group. In-School–Support Staff assist with implementing teaching strategies that are outlined in the students’ IEP in order to support their continued success in the classroom. .

All Pointe Care is currently looking to fill 4 positions in the Canton Area for the remainder of the school year:

(1) position M-F 7:30a-2:30p and (3) M-F 8:30a-3:30p

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with the school, Behaviorists and Clinicians when necessary.
• Assist students in their day to day educational needs by following their IEP
• Assist with personal care as needed
• Implement behavior management strategies
• Create daily reports that accurately describe client interaction, behavior, and progress toward achieving set goals.
• Participate in meetings related to client care.
• Ensure student safety by strict adherence to school and company policies and protocols.
• Maintain active credentials by attending on-going training and other requirements for continued employment.

In-School Support Staff must possess the following credentials in order to be considered for employment.

• At least one year of experience working with children and/or adolescents. Experience with developmentally disabilities and mental health conditions preferred.
• Valid CT driver’s license or State ID
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• PMT Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

· One of the following:

· Two years of Higher Education

· Associates Degree or Higher

· Paraeducator Certification
