Summary: Load, unload, process and inspect the parts, according to the pre-assigned schedule, complete the proper paperwork in an efficient manner in the Induction Cell.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.

From the schedules and product identification papers, record all required information on process control documentation such as the Production Logs, Temper Furnace Charts, etc., as the product is processed in the induction cell. Upon completion of the draw cycle, inspect and unload finished product into proper containers.

Review process schedules at the beginning of the shift and clarify and questionable instructions.

Maintain good housekeeping on and on-going basis throughout the shift in your work area.

Keep area free of unnecessary screens, barrels, corrugated dividers, skids, papers, gloves, soda cans, trash, etc. Sweep occasionally to remove dirt, trash and dropped parts.

Unload finished product promptly and properly, immediately tag each drum and skid with the proper tags showing all required information.

Parts for QC test checks are then delivered to the proper area in the QC lab. Maintain a continuous flow of parts to be processed in the Induction Cell, as product is available.

Have the ability to independently start-up and shut down the induction cell.

Make tooling and coil changes as needed.

Notify supervisors of any improper material movement or procedures such as insufficient product identification provided.

Receive proper safety training, particularly related to Hyster Operation, Material Handling and Hoist Operation.

Be willing to work in a team oriented environment.

Perform any duties not listed, as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple on- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
