Industrial Custodian-All Shifts
Schedules & Starting Pay:
- Day Shift: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm/Pay rate: $16.50
- Night Shift: 9:30 pm to 6: 00 am/Pay rate: $17.00
Description
A typical day in our housekeeping department at Salem Wood Products includes properly disposing debris and trash within the various departments and facility grounds. Often, the housekeeping associate will do a walk-through with a department supervisor to get an idea of the precise needs, expectations, or any additional clean-up instructions they require in their departments. In this role, a housekeeping associate should expect to work in a noisy and dusty manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sweeping, mopping, trash and recycling collection, dusting, restrooms, and common areas inside and outside the facility.
Physical requirements:
Standing, stooping, walking for up to 8-10 hrs, and crawling under the mezzanine when necessary. Required to use scoop shovel and broom frequently throughout a shift. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Experience or Job Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with deadlines
- Adaptability-Ability to adapt to change in the workplace
- Understand how to work in and around industrial machinery safely
