How would you contribute? As an Industrial Engineer you are a key to the continued growth and success of Airlite Plastics. This role is responsible for providing process engineering and technical support to all levels of the organization.

Essential Duties:

  • Complete work measurement studies and develop standardized work documents for use in production
  • Program and utilize manufacturing simulation software (Arena)
  • Develop reports for the business by using SAP-BI (SQL/Webi) reporting and Excel VBA Editor
  • Assist with the development and modification of specifications, methods, and controls to meet quality, safety and efficiency standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies and determine processing specifications, modifications or additions, resource requirements and machine capabilities
  • Utilize various technical/manufacturing reports, videos and logs to monitor and assess multiple process control initiatives
  • Participate in bench and pilot plant testing with new product development (NPD) team
  • Act as a liaison between engineering/technical support and various departments
  • Consult with internal and external subject matter experts to resolve technical and process control issues
  • Reports safety concerns to management

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering; preferably in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
  • Knowledge of work measurement methods and standard work
  • Lean manufacturing and problem solving not required but strongly preferred
  • Injection plastic processing background strongly preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Applications with emphasis in Excel and VBA Editor
  • Training with Six Sigma is preferred
  • Capability to solve complex problems, utilizing strong critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to assemble resources needed to orchestrate multiple projects/activities and accomplish goals
  • Model a collaborative leadership style with the ability to build partnerships and influence others into action
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, self-motivated and positive
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to actively lead change initiatives
  • Display highest ethical standards
  • Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
