Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries.

Janicki is growing its Information Systems team and is looking for an outstanding candidate with either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering background. We are seeking a highly motivated problem solver with excellent communication skills. In this position, you will be responsible for improving and standardizing different processes around material and information flow, Manufacturing flow, Manufacturing processes, implementing Lean Manufacturing processes, and more. Experience with industry standard software which includes SAP ERP, UKG Pro, UKG Autotime, PowerBI reporting is a plus.

Our ideal Industrial Engineer candidate:

  • BS Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering – All levels of experience.
  • Highly motivated to support process optimization efforts through the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and new software solutions
  • Experience implementing software to the shop floor, developing specification for developers, and managing implementation projects
  • Ability to work cohesively with a variety of end users from VPs to shop floor personnel
  • Excited to contribute to a collaborative, lively team
  • Experience with Composite manufacturing, Metal tooling manufacturing, or Lean manufacturing practices is preferred
  • Experience with SAP ERP or ERP software is preferred
  • Enjoys working in an evolving environment and facing new challenges with an inventive mindset

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The following essential job functions are performed as an Industrial Engineer:

  • Review and develop efficient cost-effective processes for manufacturing.
  • Creates and manages business requirement documents and other program related artifacts.
  • Works collaboratively with multiple areas within the organization and is comfortable being part of a cross functional workgroup.
  • Synthesizes information from multiple sources to accurately identify root cause and propose data driven solutions.
  • Assists in the development, documentation, and status reporting on Improvement implementation plans.
  • Engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Clear, concise thinking.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • All levels considered
  • Must hold an active Security+ certification or be able to obtain within three months.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Salary range for this role is between $68,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
