RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking candidates to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Waterloo, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidates will work with our engineering staff and our customer, John Deere, staff to support the production of agricultural equipment using state of the art engineering tools.

There are multiple job openings within the Industrial Engineering discipline, which may be Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering positions. There are entry level positions and mid level positions available. The positions support the production of drivetrain, engines, cabs, and tractors.

This is a full time position with a full benefit package listed below, that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, direct hire by our customer, and additional opportunities within our own organization.

Relevant Experience / Proficiency

  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and Ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.
  • Experience with process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance, and visual management tools.
  • Proven record of continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficient with NC Programming.
  • Proficient with Lathes and Machining Centers in the areas of steel or iron machining.
  • In-depth understanding of tooling and tooling systems.
  • Experience with in-process gauging.
  • Experience with multi-axis machining.
  • Experience with cylindrical grinding applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Understanding of GD&T, product modeling and print interpretation.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Creo, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and experience working on a team.
