We are seeking an industrial heating/furnace parts salesperson! This position will provide spare and replacement parts for heat treating equipment and our manufactured products to our customers. These parts may include electrical, electronic, mechanical, insulation, heating elements, thermocouples and other parts used in our equipment.


This is very similar to a Field Service Engineer position that is primarily internal/in-house
. It is perfect for a current Field Service Engineer or Industrial Engineer who still enjoys the client contact but no longer enjoys the constant travel that is usually required of this job.


Our Industrial Equipment Parts Salesperson will work directly with our clients to schedule service of existing client machines and to sell replacement parts or repairs to current customers. Duties include the ability to
accurately troubleshoot issues with machine, speak with clients and help them with repairs or replacement parts and assemblies, schedule our field techs for repairs.


Now more than ever, we need someone with an innate sense of urgency and organization so that our customers are given priority. Attention to detail will ensure deliver exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Examples of duties

  • Provide customer satisfaction through technical service, installation, operation, training and repair of specialized equipment.
  • Assist customer to find parts.
  • Write Proposals.
  • Generate Requisitions.
  • Generate Sales Orders with accuracy.
  • Follow up with Customers and Vendors.
  • Receive and process phone orders and emails for parts.
  • Obtain credit card authorization forms.
  • Rectify problems or suggest solutions or arrange for repairs to be made.
  • Provide an important link between customers and Engineering.
  • Work with Engineering to find alternatives for obsolete parts.
  • Schedule maintenance calls and regular customer visits for service department,
  • Produce work tickets with detailed and accurate instructions.
  • Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Electrical know how very helpful (understand high and low voltage schematics, drives systems, temperature controllers, P&ID loops, basic understanding of PLC programming, phone support and troubleshooting)

  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of industrial machines and heating units typically used in aerospace, aircraft, medical and energy sector.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Interrupt and communicate project needs, deadlines, and delays.
  • Min 3 + years prior work experience related to electrical systems.
  • Basic knowhow of 3-phase, single phase, VAC and VDC circuits.
  • Basic knowhow of 4-20mA, 0-10V loops, PID loops.
  • Experienced in the use of a variety of electrical control devices (Controllers, PLC, SCR, VFD).
  • Blueprint reading.


SKILLS

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Sage100, MAS90, SAP or eMatrix.
  • Intermediate User of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to those internally and reach out to connections and vendors with customer needs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills in a casual but professional setting.
  • Spanish speaking a MAJOR PLUS.
  • Past Field, Maintenance and Service experience a PLUS.

This position will begin as a non-exempt/hourly position and is intended for growth into Project Management as skills are demonstrated. Plus a parts sales quota with commission if quota met.
