By Light Professional IT Services is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join our team supporting a DOD customer. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with security policy and maintaining the highest quality of Information Assurance (IA) while helping government clients meet their mission objectives.

- Coordinate Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for unclassified and classified networks.
- Perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities and support secure systems operations and maintenance.
- Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validate system security requirements definition and analysis; establish system security designs; implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.
- Review and update Security packages such as System Security Plan (SSP), Risk Assessment Report (RAR), Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM), Contingency Plan, and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Provide mitigation recommendations/ security architecture reviews to Government decision makers.
- Documentation changes need to baseline software.
- Work with Tier 3 subject matter experts to close out any open items.
- Assist in making sure DISA STIGS are applied to networks, network devices and information systems where applicable.
- Minimum 2 years working experience with RMF.
- Current 8750 Level II certified (any of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO
- Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and compliance, with a solid reputation for assessing and monitoring security controls.
- Firm working knowledge of Security Architectures.
- Firm Working knowledge Microsoft Office Tools.
- Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with eMASS a plus.
- DoD Experience a plus.
- Experience using Host Based Security Solutions (HBSS) or Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
- Active DOD Secret clearance required.
- By Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.
