Injection Molding Process Engineer
Analyzes process flow, developing performance enhancements, implementing cost effective design and monitoring production results.
1. Identifies improvements to the manufacturing process and related plans for such improvements
2. Identifies problems in production, safety, tooling and quality control areas and provides appropriate solutions
3. Plans, schedules and coordinates outside contractors/vendors while controlling costs.
4. Responsible for developing performance enhancements, implementing cost effective design improvements, while reducing downtime and material waste
5. Work with maintenance on trouble-shooting, maintaining and improving equipment.
6. Develops and directs management of projects. (Including timeline and budget.)
7. Oversees the maintenance of manufacturing operating procedures and schematics.
8. Subject Matter Expert on installation of assigned projects.
Qualifications
A qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and three years minimum experience with process improvement and injection molding knowledge. Skilled in CAD software use.
Experience with state and federal health, environmental and safety rules and regulations. Lean manufacturing experience and/or 6 Sigma problem solving. General computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, Autodesk). Understanding of the electrical/mechanical workings in an automotive manufacturing facility.
Salary will range between $70,000 and $85,000 per year with relocation assistance.
