Are you looking for a large company with ample amounts of growth that works on large projects? Then look no further! We have a major client who is currently looking for a Inspector to join their team.

As an Inspector, you will perform construction administration testing and inspection services for state, county and local projects. Monitors and enforces quality standards and specifications, reads project drawings, specifications, blueprints, and works on a variety of construction projects.

Job Duties:

· Performs construction administration and inspection services for state, county and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.

· Monitors and enforces quality standards and specifications, reads construction drawings, and works on a variety of construction projects.

· Inspects construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals and bridge projects.

· Verifies plan quantities and calculations with as bid plans, prepares and maintains project records and reports and performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer.

· Notifies the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.

· May conduct hazardous material surveys, as well as asbestos abatement monitoring services during abatement projects.

· Conducts quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel

Minimum Qualifications:

· Completed INDOT Certified Technician program OR has a Bachelor’s Degree is either Civil Engineering or Construction Management

· Prepares and maintains project records and reports and performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer in a timely manner. Notifies the project engineer with status updates or non-conforming work.

Knowledge & Skills:

· Knowledge of inspection services in a Construction industry

· Knowledge of quality control testing

· Knowledge of Engineering

· Knowledge of compliance specifications

· Very strong report writing and field note taking skills.Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Must Haves:

· Valid drivers license and clean driving record

· Ability to be reliable, a team player and monitor and enforce quality standards

· Quality minded and client focused

· Ability to manage projects

· Ability to be organized

· Demonstrated ability of monitoring construction and demolition environments and must be able to interact well with others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
