Interior Designer
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field (preferred)
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience working on commercial, educational and / or healthcare projects
Requirements/Skills
The ideal applicant for this position will have a creative design portfolio of commercial type projects and be able to collaborate with the design team in all phases of the project with an emphasis on conceptual design, space planning and selection of materials, furniture and finishes.
- Work alongside architects, outside consultants and product vendors to find the best design solution to meet the client’s needs
- Perform interior design assignments and work collaboratively with others towards design solutions
- Communicate with client on design intent as well as product options
- Develop color and material finish boards
- Stay up to date with products by attending manufacturer and educational events
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Revit experience is a plus
