JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL-TIME

The International Admissions Representative will manage recruitment efforts for recruiting international prospective students to ORU’s on-campus programs. The International Admissions Representative will perform all recruitment and enrollment counseling functions necessary for the University to successfully accomplish its international enrollment goals annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works on behalf of prospective international students, enabling them to accomplish all aspects of their matriculation into the university. Motivates students to complete their admissions file. Responds to all contacts received and initiates correspondence via e-mails, phone calls, online meetings, mailings etc. Provides each with appropriate information sometimes requiring problem solving with students having issues with regards to their application and/or special circumstances that may have a direct impact on their acceptance to the university.
  • Utilizes Salesforce, ORU’s CRM system, to track and record interactions with students. Uses other systems as required to manage student progression toward enrollment.
  • Tracks success of marketing and recruitment efforts toward international students where appropriate. Analyzes and categorizes interest levels of inquiries received. Rates the quality or validity of interest levels from various resources determining what defines a potentially high-yielding, high-interest prospect versus one that is not.
  • Contributes to the development of communication, marketing and recruitment strategies in support of ORU’s international goals.
  • Manages travel itinerary to include conferences, churches, schools, alumni gatherings, ministry events and other assemblies that would be advantageous for recruitment. Covers assignment for the purpose of networking with leaders of organizations, attending fairs, schools and ministries.
  • Utilizes social media and other technology such as Zoom, WhatsApp, etc. where appropriate to foster relationships with prospects during the recruitment cycle, keep students informed about needed steps to enroll and succeed at ORU, as well as other pertinent university policies, happenings, etc. Conducts off-hour social media interactions with international prospects as needed.
  • Conducts research and personal development activities including attending seminars, and publication research to keep abreast of international education interests, market changes, new opportunities etc.
  • Other special projects and administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree. Master degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Highly desirable to fluently speak one or more foreign languages

  • Minimum of two years international missions, recruiting or sales experience.

  • Use and understanding of a customer relationship management (CRM) database to track and engage with international student leads.

  • Experience working in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.

  • Must have excellent organizational, oral and written communication and customer service skills. Experience in a selling environment with goals/targets is desirable.

  • Computer experience should include MS Office and data base or lead generation software.

  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information.

  • Maintains compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policy and its’ procedures.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

TRAVEL:

Travel may be required which could include overnight stays and international travel.
