Job Purpose

The International logistics coordinator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of international materials for our internal and external customers and for optimizing origins, destinations, and carriers by providing effective solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold all company policies relating to the safe delivery of our products.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure shipping is completed timely.
  • Control all ocean imports, customs clearance, and final delivery.
  • Work with Finance to prepare cash against Docs Presentation
  • Properly assign HS Codes
  • Oversee contract negotiation with all freight vendors
  • Review and approve all freight invoices
  • Obtain inland truck, air, & ocean rates through vendor review
  • Track and monitor shipments in transit and provide status updates to proper teams
  • Additional duties may be assigned in line with position scope

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Ocean and Cargo Freight
  • Experience with inbound and outbound International Freight
  • Experience with bulk hazmat preferred
  • Knowledge of HS Codes, Incoterms
  • Knowledge of international commerce sales and payment terms, customs regulations, and international supply chain processes.
  • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An excellent understanding of issues presented by domestic and international logistics preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Strong negotiating, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Customer and Client Focused

  • Pay will be commensurate with experience. The targeted hourly rate will be based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for an Employee Incentive Program.
