Job Description - Inventory Clerk
Hours: 8-5p, M-F
Pay rate $15.
Responsibilities:
- Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with ‘numbers’ and analytics.
- Working knowledge of MP2 and SAP.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and machine parts.
- Basic knowledge of electrical machine parts.
- Runner for both Flooring Plant and MDF Storerooms
- Pick up items from shipping. Help with unboxing and checking items.
- Ability to assist with weekly cycle counts with and/or without handheld scanners.
- Ability to assist with full inventory with and/or without handheld scanners.
- Ability to enter requisitions in MP2 and SAP as a backup when needed.
- Ability to receive in MP2 and SAP as a backup.
- Make runs to pick up items off site when necessary
- Ability to pick parts by description or part number.
Physical Demand:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high in specific areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience and knowledge of SAP & MP2 software systems.
Additional Requirements:
- A sense of urgency, a capacity for accurate decisions and the ability to exercise sound judgement in a demanding work environment.
- Team player, independent, flexible, resilient, and reliable.
- A problem solver who works well with other plant and company employees.
