The Role

You will have primary responsibility for implementing client administration services and support for the firm’s commingled fund limited partners, as well as collaborating with the firm’s marketing and sales teams in providing information and input in support of ARA’s capital raising efforts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage across the Sales, Marketing, and Investor Relations functions as a part of a dynamic team providing excellent service to our investors.

This position reports directly to the Vice President, Investor Relations and will collaborate with the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications and the Head of Business Development in a range of duties designed to provide value directly and indirectly to supporting these functions. The ideal candidate will have proven multi-taking and quality assurance abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and creative thinking to apply to the benefit of our investors and their consultants. This role is based in ARA’s downtown Los Angeles office, and candidates will be expected to be Southern California residents and commute to the office.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for executing investor reporting, management of capital accounts and investor relations, and contact information to maintain relationships with current and prospective investors relating to their investment in our funds.
  • Manage client administration function including onboarding, capital calls, distributions, redemptions, quarterly reporting and other requests working with Accounting to provide timely and accurate information to the firm’s over 600 limited partners their consultants.
  • Implement salesforce updates and create tools/reports to enhance sales team and management reporting.
  • Coordinate conference arrangements including registrations, equipment, shipping, hotel, and follow up.
  • Work with the Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications in supporting the firm’s marketing/branding program implementation and development of collateral material.
  • Collect and analyze competitive information related to funds, collateral, and collaborate in developing “best ideas” to enhance the firm’s presentation, reporting, and client service functions.
  • Manage periodic memberships and subscriptions for the department coordinating with the sales team and external vendors.
  • Other client and marketing functions as requested on an on-going basis.

Candidate Qualifications

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business administration, finance, or related field. Advanced degree in a related field recommended.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the institutional investment industry in a similar capacity. Real estate/private asset knowledge is a plus.
  • Embrace the firm’s goals, philosophy, process, and products, understand the firm’s products and how they are positioned competitively, and employ a sales process that complies with acting as an SEC registered investment advisor and as a fiduciary under ERISA.

Job Specifications

  • Expected work hours: 8:30 to 5:30, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.

  • Travel: Business trips with overnight stays may be required. Occasionally may need to drive a personal vehicle for business.

  • Work environment and physical demands: General office environment.
