FiberTel, LLC. locally grown in Utah’s Art City and has rapidly expanded over the Northwest and Western regions. We are currently hiring for our Springville Office.

Job Description Overview:

The IT Analyst will provide great I.T. related troubleshooting skills specifically with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Network Stack, Printers, and Apple iOS and Android mobile devices; being able to effectively balance speed and quality of work while multi-tasking, able to maintain good composure in stressful situations, be an effective, honest, and respectful communicator, and be diligent in the planning and execution of tasks.

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for users to resolve computer, software, network, printing, and mobile device-related issues in person, over the telephone, or remotely with remote assistance applications.
  • Provide individual and group orientation training of technology equipment, along with department-driven projects and initiatives where applicable upon request.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of I.T. policies and procedures for managing computer systems and operations based on corporate guidelines/control framework.
  • Assist in maintaining the effective operations of the Information Technology (IT) Department.
  • Administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, desk and cellular phones, and tablets.
  • Work on major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Develop knowledge about hardware and software managed by the company.
  • Provide technical support for connectivity of systems/network requirements, VOIP, and other shared services.
  • Provide production support for the ERP, Business applications, databases (MS SQL), and coordinate with support vendor for resolving complex issues.
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
  • Troubleshoot all technology issues. Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.
  • Prepare and install workstations, connect and set up hardware, load all required software, provide network accounts and passwords as required.
  • Monitor security of all technology.
  • Maintains and tests local and offsite backups of all servers using VEEAM software.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Understanding of contractual/regulatory Compliance requirements
  • Understanding of Risk Management Frameworks such as NIST 800–53, ISO 27001, COBIT etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems – Windows and Linux
  • Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization, networking and Active Directory
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NTFS permissions and least privilege practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell, SSH, and remote management
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently while supporting the needs of the team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management

Preferred Certifications:

  • MCP, MSA, MCSE, MTA, VMware VCP, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL or any other IT-related Certifications. (One or more preferred)

Education and Experience

  • Required: Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and minimum 4 years experience in IT Help Desk / Desktop Support / System Administration.
  • Optional: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and minimum 2 years experience in IT Help Desk / Desktop Support / System Administration.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in both office and field environments with occasional exposure to noise and other hazards. This job routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasionally spend time outside the office when meeting clients or need to check on vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

The Information Technology Analyst will have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Information Technology Analyst will have to do some lifting of computer equipment, supplies, and materials from time to time.
