IT Communications Associate

Reports to: Administrator of Favor International, Inc.

Location: Mostly remote with visits to US headquarters in the Tampa Bay area.

Basic Function: This position is responsible for the digital and print communications for Favor International including website updates, list maintenance, electronic appeals, Giving Tuesdays, crowdfunding initiatives, and digital publications. Functions include updating website, giving platforms, and related sites, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Candid, and Charity Navigator, etc.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Writes and implements Communication Plan with supportive calendar of activities creating a monthly dashboard reflective of activities and outcomes

• Coordinates activities to disseminate accurate information, photography and graphics for print and digital publications, giving platforms, website, and Christian television and radio stations

• Regularly updates website and other online platforms as needed tracking messages, deliverability, open-rates, appeals, and similar activities

• Creates and monitors progress for digital appeals, giving platforms, Giving Tuesday, and crowdfunding assuring increase financial growth

• With assistance from Team members, writes annual impact report, stewardship reports, announcements, press releases, weekly digital newsletters, and similar publications

• Creates and maintains a database of Christian radio and television stations and print and digital publications to send releases, stories, and announcements while making

pitches for interviews, special interest stories, and partnerships

• Helps coordinate and publicize Donor Mission Trips to Africa

• Monitors progress and prepares monthly dashboard of activities with YTD comparisons

• Assists US Executive Director in creative appeals, messages, pitches, donor engagement, speeches, events, and general donor communique

• Video Editing, webinar and media presentations

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent writer, editor and communicator with strong oral and written skills

• Creative and energetic Christian wishing to advance mission through an array of messaging, positioning and pitches

• Knowledge of and experience in various fundraising platforms, website maintenance and digital messaging

• Communications degree with a minimum three years of experience or equivalent

• As Favor International continues its unprecedented growth, this position will eventually oversee a department staff and interns supportive of the mission and financial growth
