Job Responsibilities

• Analyze business operations and the business’s computer systems and determine which software applications could improve efficiency
• Support and manage the professional development of the Shepherd Applications team
• Maintain and improve all applications to align the application strategy with the Shepherd group strategy
• Champion and govern the use of Microsoft 365 applications in Shepherd’s Digital Core for personal, team and functional process productivity
• Procure third party solutions and implement to meet business needs
• Serve as a product owner by understanding business needs, gain consensus, and maintain a roadmap for IS applications
• Interface with the Shepherd Group Leadership Team on business requirements/goals and translate them into technical specifications with solution proposals
• Support and lead administration on various business applications, such as customer relationship management (CRM) tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
• Manage the software portfolio to make sure applications remain current, supported and relevant
• Travel to local Shepherd business sites for meetings with key stakeholders

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience
• Experience in managing, leading and developing applications teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Demonstrated ability as a team player who encourages continuous improvement and innovation

Preferred Education and Experience

• SAP or Microsoft application professional certifications
• Experience in Agile environments and principles
• Experience with SAP, Dynamics 365, and the Microsoft 365 suite of applications
• Demonstrated cybersecurity skills by safeguarding information system assets and solving potential and actual security problems

Work Environment

At times, you will be exposed to cold or hot, dusty and noisy surroundings.
