Job Description:
Primary responsibilities of this position include support and troubleshoot day-to-day technology issues, track issues in a task resolution center, resolve issues in a timely manner, escalating when appropriate. Assisting Network administrator with the setup and maintenance of computer hardware and software and networking operating equipment.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support calls; maintain accurate knowledgebase of issue resolutions and steps performed.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults
  • Troubleshoot end user related issues such as passwords, applications, printers/copiers, etc.
  • Communicate effectively to IT team members actions taken and resolutions
  • Support the roll-out of new applications and IT services
  • Perform computer end user onboarding and offboarding processes as specified by system administrator and IT Manager, including new user training
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Testing and evaluating new technology including workstations, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.
  • Educate users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and support, and improving awareness of IT security threats and computing best practices
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and current documentation of IT processes, IT asset inventory, and software licensing
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information secure and confidential.
  • Assist other IT staff with projects and IT Support as necessary

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technology related field
  • Associates degree in IS/IT, Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Experience with networking concepts, equipment, and configuration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft 365 environments
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborates effectively and excels in a team environment
  • A positive attitude in the face of troubleshooting and end user frustration
  • Prioritizing and managing many tasks at one time

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Ability to use keyboard and small hand tools repetitively
  • Ability to lift/handle and maneuver around heavy computer equipment, sometimes up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule, occasional evening and weekend work is required for maintenance windows, project deadlines, and to handle technical emergencies.
  • Ability to be on time and at work when scheduled
