Position Information
The Department of Information Technology invites applications for a full-time, twelve mo position reporting to the Director of Information Technology.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, resolve, and follow through on problems and determines impact of proposed solutions.
  • Design, write, test, debug documents, and implement routine applications and trains clients in the use of these applications.
  • Install software and hardware such as work stations, and printers.
  • Maintain and distributes software documentation, reference manuals, and training guides.
  • Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and design communications systems such as data, voice, video, and networks.
  • Perform standard preventive maintenance and complex repairs or arranges for the repair of computers and peripherals.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of classroom audio visual systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Two years of experience with the type of hardware and software to be supported in which one year included user support, user training and/or programming.


Preferred Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • General knowledge of applicable software products and of applicable computers and peripherals.
  • Must be skilled in configuring computer hardware and software, be able to analytically design program logic or solve technical problems, and in operating supported computers and peripherals.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with clients required.
  • Candidate must exhibit a high level of technical knowledge that he or she is able to apply to technical issues and problems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, a reliable work record, self-motivation, and good communication skills to include written communication are all requirements of the job.
  • Ability to get along with others.
