Janitor Job at Mers Missouri Goodwill Industries
Primary Duties:
- Perform cleaning of various types at the assigned site
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and commuters
Essential/Primary Functions:
- Lift and operate (50) pounds standard janitorial equipment and supplies frequently.
- Clean-up various waste including body fluids as needed using appropriate techniques and safety procedures
- Sweep and Mop frequently with motorized equipment.
- Dust with a rag extended handle brush and other dusting tools.
- Operate an industrial vacuum cleaner.
- Wax and polish floors.
- Wash down walls and clean glass.
- Clean bathrooms.
- Respond to request for spot clean-ups.
- Empty garbage and/or trash cans as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- No degree required
- High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to read simple signs and instructions, lift various weights repetitively, stand for extended periods and tolerate extreme temperatures.
- Six months cleaning experience preferred.
