The Maintenance Journeyman is a key player to our business, and actively contributes to the continued successful operation of the facility. We are actively seeking career minded individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, safety focused and evolving environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance services for the facility.
• Read and utilize repair documents, manuals, assembly drawings and electrical schematics to determine repair procedures and tolerances
• Execute inspections and maintenance activities for production related equipment
• Follow SOPs for repair activities and maintenance logs
• Input and update information in computerized maintenance management software
• Sustain a clean working environment while following company safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, team, vendors and contractors

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 3- 5 years industrial maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of AC/DC and PLCs is an asset
• Prior experience with milling machine, lathe, welder and other shop equipment
• Ability to set up, tear down, and rebuild machinery and equipment according to blueprints and electrical schematics
• Capable operator of mobile and bridge cranes
• Use of all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all pipe fitting tools and equipment
• Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills and ability to prioritize workload
• Experience with OSHA safety practices
• SAP experience is an asset
• 24/7 facility will need to have availability to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays
• Maintenance Mechanics work a rotating shift; four 12-hour shifts
