Journeyman Welder/Pipefitter

Brycon is hiring motivated, detailed, and safety-orientated Journeyman Welder/Pipefitters to work with our high-tech semiconductor team in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Duties

• Inspects the work area to determine obstructions to be avoided for the installation of the pipe
• Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install or de-install piping systems
• Study blueprints, and isometric drawings, understand 3D Models, Layout, and construction plans for pipe systems, supports, and related equipment
• Install, inspect, and test systems and equipment
• Understand welding process
• Capable of passing 6G welding coupon for any of the following (ASME IX orbital GTAW, ASME IX GMAW, or ASME IX GTAW)
• Repair and replace damaged pipe components.
• Use hand or power tools
• Select pipe types, sizes, and quantities required for a project
• Read, understand, and draw isometric/shop drawings for fabrication
• Mentoring apprentice-level pipefitters and helpers
• Knowledge of rigging
• Test pipe system to ensure no leaks
• Work with QA/QC for a final inspection
• Other duties as assigned
• Employees may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), on weekends and will be compensated based on the Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.

Qualifications

• This is a position that will require continuously lifting material, and working on ladders, heights, and tight areas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of Journeyman construction experience is preferred.
• OSHA 10 desired.
• Knowledge and acceptance of good health and safety principles and practices are preferred
• A valid driver’s record preferred
• This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug /alcohol testing
