JPMorgan Payments is investing in a global leadership position in the rapidly evolving payments landscape with an aggressive transformation agenda. An area that influences this agenda are the payment networks and regulators globally. JPMorgan Payments actively participates and leads a significant change agenda through our Industry Advocacy and Governance Office. The objective of the office is to influence and advise Payments product owners and Firmwide stakeholders on product investments, global payment trends and emerging opportunities and issues facing the payments industry.

Position Summary

We are seeking a uniquely talented and proven Manager, to own the governance agenda and set strategy for Payments. This Manager will design, implement and manage initiatives covering policy-setting, rules and operations framework recommendations for payment and non-payment networks and be responsible for assessing opportunities and challenges across payment types. This role works across lines of business to develop firm wide industry recommendations and viewpoints.

The role will report to the Managing Director leading JPMorgan Payments Industry Advocacy and Governance Office.

The ideal candidate is a highly-organized and self-motivated leader who has advised leadership on go to market trends and operational readiness. Candidate must be able to flexibly adapt and has strong influencing / relationship management skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage product roadmap outcomes against regulatory impacts and payment network operating models.
  • Monitor industry assessment that provides detailed insights into the competitive landscape and best practices.
  • Partner with teams (product, design, technology, risk, legal, compliance, ops, marketing, sales) to understand prioritization, resourcing, controls, readiness, and go-to-market plans.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the payments landscape and evolving business models and regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful product payment product strategy recommendations to large financial services companies (banks and non-banks).
  • Strong executive presence; comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management
  • Strong ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written)
  • Strong influencing and partnership / collaboration skills to drive cross-functional teams
  • Ability to productively work in a matrix management organization
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and inspiring leadership skills a must
