RMC is hiring for a Jr. Inventory Management Specialist to support our customer at NSWC Indian Head. This position will perform a wide range of clerical and technical support work, to include inventory accounting, records entry and review, demand processing, requisition and re-supply, receipt and release of property, and shipping. The selected candidate must be able to follow technical procedures issued by the Federal Government for requisitioning, receiving, and storing supplies, repair parts, and equipment.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Gathering information to support inventory records, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with corrective actions.
- Entering data in the inventory control system.
- Processing disposal documentation and posting status record changes to maintain control of equipment dispositions.
- Processing material receipts and receiving and shipping documentation.
- Performing periodic inventories of plant property, materials, and equipment.
Requirements
A High School Diploma and at least one (1) year of general work experience are required. An extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
Security Clearance: An active DoD security clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
RMC employees may be subject to COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements in order to access government facilities.
