Empire State Mines is currently seeking a professional to fill the role of Jr. Mine Geologist at its underground Zinc
operation. This position is based at the Empire State Mine site located approximately 10 miles from the town of
Gouverneur, New York. Located within 2-hour drive of The Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the
Adirondack Mountains and world class skiing at Lake Placid. Explore Canada with Montreal and Ottawa only 2-3
hours away.

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Senior or Chief Mine Geologist, the Jr. Mine Geologist will have the following
duties and responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to working safely, protecting the environment, and

• Perform geologic activities essential to production, development, and/or exploration programs

• Work collaboratively with mine operations and engineering to achieve their objectives and to

• Compile raw data into reports for review by senior management and/or regulatory agencies;

• Collect, compile, and analyze production, development, and exploration data and results;

• Collect geochemical samples according to defined best practices, including collection and

• Perform data entry and database management functions as necessary;

• Perform field sample preparation and shipping, as instructed;

• Analyze and interpret geochemical data resulting in reporting;

• Construct maps, diagrams and sections;

• Communication with other departments as required;

• Other reasonable duties requested by the Company.
  

• BS/BA degree in Geology;

• Skill in written and verbal communication (in English), critical thinking, data analysis;

• Ability to work in the US.
