KidsPeace National Centers of New England has an immediate opening for a K-12 Special Education Teacher to work at its Millinocket school. The teacher will design and deliver instructional systems and does so in a therapeutically appropriate manner. Focus on curriculum as mandated by Maine State Standards. Manages the classroom in such a way as to maintain an educational atmosphere. Responsible for writing Individual Education Plans (IEP), report cards, and all necessary paperwork associated. Supervises and supports the classroom education technician(s).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Current 282 Special Education Certification, or eligible for endorsement
- Fingerprinting Certification (CHRC)
