Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a talented professional like you to lead new business development and commercial account management activities within our Industrial business. In this role, you will be responsible for Key Account Management with existing accounts while prospecting for opportunities to develop new customers. You will work closely with our Technical Service, Marketing, and other functions to understand customer/market needs and translate them into profitable business for BASF.
As a Key Account Manager you create chemistry by…
- Your experience in Sales, Marketing, or Application Development in Polyurethanes Systems and Thermoplastic Polyurethane will serve you well as you develop and grow your territory.
- Responsible for Key Account Management and long-term relationship building with our customers while driving growth with new accounts.
- Leveraging your knowledge of value selling and negotiating, you will develop business proposals that will satisfy customer’s needs while maximizing our profitability.
- Demonstrating your abilities as a ‘team player’ will position you to quickly build your network with internal support functions and teams which are critical to your success.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

- Education in business or a technical field combined with experience in polymer sales.
- Strong organizational skills to manage existing accounts, develop new business, and drive projects to close.
- Exceptional communication skills and a solid ability to negotiate and influence others.
- Strong ability to understand the product portfolio and chemistry will assist in recommending products based on the application need.
- Demonstrated success in growing sales in challenging markets will be a valued asset.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $101,800- $127,300. Actual pay will be determine based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
