Dash In is currently seeking a Kitchen Associate with prior food experience to join our Dash In team for our brand-new store in Chantilly, VA, starting at $16 an hour! Full-time and part-time opportunities available!

Job Purpose and Function

Dash In, a Wills Group company, is launching a new innovative, chef-inspired, foodservice concept and is building out the Back of House (BOH) team to execute and deliver an exceptional guest food service experience in a 24/7 retail environment.

The essential function of a Kitchen Associate will be to provide customer service including assistance to customers, preparation of consumable food items to meet the guidelines of regulatory agencies and company standards, project a positive image of the company while in prescribed uniform, proper recording of sales and cash control, and maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
  • Control prep levels based on volume of guests and prep list to ensure freshness.
  • Restock prep stations and keep them clean and organized.
  • Put deliveries away.
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
  • Stand and/or walk for an entire shift – You will be connecting with our guests and delivering a personalized experience to everyone.
  • Operate food service equipment which will include deep fryer, slicers, scale, grill, hot dog cookers, ovens, display cases and breading machines.
  • Create an exceptional experience for the customer by being attentive, friendly, and finding ways to satisfy the needs of every guest.
  • Take ownership of your station throughout every shift, utilizing the Make it a Meal (MIAM) program to help increase sales.
  • Using proper lifting techniques and with assistance, lift and place in service, up to five feet above floor level, five- gallon soft drink containers which may be BIB (Bag In a Box) or cylinders weighing between 50 and 65 pounds.
What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or ability to complete company-paid GED program
  • Minimum of 1 year of food service experience, line cook or prep cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, overnights, and weekends
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening
Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Active ServSafe certification, or similar
  • Ability to use technology including POS software
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
