Health Services Analysis program’s mission is to ensure worker access to high quality care. You would support the provider enrollment and credentialing processes in the Provider Account and Credentialing unit. Managing intake and distribution of provider and network applications would be part of the important work you would be responsible for.

Duties

Provide administrative support for Provider Account and Credentialing Unit processes.

Some of what you’ll do:



  • Prepare paper applications for provider types exempt from ProviderOne by reviewing for completeness of application.
  • Review IRS documentation and compares information with the provider's application to ensure documents are complete and correct.
  • Respond to email inquiries concerning enrollment, credentialing and application status.
  • Become knowledgeable of the units rules, laws, policies and procedures providing them when responding to customer inquiries.
  • Process returned mail correspondence by routing to appropriate area and/or staff.
  • Prepare outgoing correspondence when a provider application is denied, by sending a Request for Additional Information letter.
  • Provide customer service by emailing or calling a provider that request one on one help with provider enrollment into the ProviderOne system.
  • Responsible for documenting and transferring documents from one system to another.
  • Responsible for managing the units Record Retention schedule.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of healthcare credentialing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to key 40+ words per minute.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 2 years of clerical experience

DESIRED:
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of credentialing software, such as VISTAR, MIPS, ProviderOne, etc.
  • Familiarity with medical licensure and medical board certification categories.
  • One year of college with at least one course in medical terminology.
  • One year of administrative experience in the healthcare or workers compensation field.

The assigned duty station for this position is Tumwater, Washington.
