Lab Technician Job at Medix
Medix is seeking applicants for an entry, mid, or senior level Lab Technician in East Chicago, IN.
Pay Range: $18.52-18.92
Shift(s):
2nd: 3pm-11:30pm (M-F)
3rd: 11:30pm - 7:30 am (M-F)
4th: Schedules are always going to include the weekend. Always Saturday and Sunday, with 2 days during M-F. Hours: 6:30 am - 4:30 pm
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:
- Entry level wet chemistry laboratory duties
- pH, moisture, oxidation, titration
- Daily Processing of waste samples to include but not limited to:
- Fuel compatibility, bomb calorimetry, GC analysis, metals analysis
- Daily equipment calibration
- Calorimeter, pH meter, GC-MS, GC-FID
- Additional laboratory support in the areas of standards preparation, record keeping and other general laboratory duties
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be willing to work in an industrial setting with limited outside exposure and be willing to handle hazardous and non-hazardous wastes with appropriate PPE.
- A successful candidate will have minimum of High school diploma with strong scientific background.
- College courses or degree preferred in a science related field.
- Strong candidates will possess a great work ethic with the ability to work alone as well as in a group.
