Lake Needwood Boats and

Salaries START at $15.00 per hour and are based on experience.
Work hours are flexible and include evenings, holidays and weekends.
This is a seasonal position; operations are from Mid-May to Mid-September.
Examples of Important Duties
Opportunities include:
Boat Dock Hand - (Starts at $15.00 per hour)
Provide assistance to children and adults in a boat rental setting. Assist with troubleshooting and repair of row boats, pedal boats, canoes, and kayaks. Clean and maintain boats, life jackets, boating equipment, docks, and grounds at the marina. Perform marina service and serve as dock hand. Work outside for up to eight hours per day. Perform custodial maintenance. Knowledge of fundamental computer skills, including operation of a point-of-sale system.
Qualifications: Weekend work is mandatory.
Ability to obtain a Boaters Safety Certificate within four weeks of hire date.
Minimum age: 16
Boat Shop Manager on Duty – (Starts at $15.25 per hour)
Assists Facility Manager with managing and operating a boat rental facility. Responsibilities include managing staff, schedules, programs and revenues. Supervises staff engaged in operational activities, cash handling, and custodial maintenance related to facility operations. Knowledge of fundamental computer skills, including operation of a point-of-sale system. Prepares cash reports and bank deposits for manager’s approval. Notifies Manager of facility needs and requests orders for supplies.
Qualifications: Weekend work is mandatory.
Minimum of one year of boat operating experience (including motorboat
s). Boaters Safety Course must be completed before hiring. Minimum age: 18
Pontoon Tour Operator - (Starts at $15.25 per hour)
Operates weekend public pontoon tours of the lake as well as private rides and programs during the week. When not operating the tour boat, Pontoon Operator assists Manager on Duty with all aspects of managing and operating the boat rental facility. Knowledge of fundamental computer skills, including operation of a point-of-sale system. Supervises staff engaged in operational activities, cash handling and custodial maintenance related to facility operations.
Qualifications: Weekend work is mandatory.
Minimum of one year of boat operating experience (including motorboat
s). Boaters Safety Course must be completed before hiring. Minimum age: 18
Minimum Qualifications
- All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills;
- Must attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available); and
- Must attend in-house orientation.

Ages 16 – 17 must provide an approved work permit if hired.
Supplemental Information
These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits.
A complete background investigation will be completed prior to hire.
